Sadir Ibn Hakim reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “We are the people who are protected (Ma’sum). God commanded obedience to us and prohibited disobedience to us. We are the conclusive evidence for those, who are under the heavens and above the earth.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 25, Page 298, Hadith 62]
سدير بن حكيم عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: نحن قوم معصومون أمر الله بطاعتنا ونهى عن معصيتنا نحن الحجة البالغة على من دون السماء وفوق الأرض
Jabir Ibn Yazid reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “The people are of two kinds: a knowledgeable (alim) person and an student and the rest of the people are froths (on a boiling liquid). So we are the Knowledgeable (alim), our followers are the students, and the rest of the people are froths (on a boiling liquid).” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 1, Page 194, Hadith 8]
جابر بن يزيد عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام قال: إن الناس رجلان عالم ومتعلم وسائر الناس غثاء فنحن العلماء وشيعتنا المتعلمون وسائر الناس غثاء
Hudhaim reported that Imam As-Sajjad (a.) said to Zainab Bint Ali (a.): “You are by the praise of God a knowledgeable, not a student, an understanding one, who is not taught the understanding.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Vol. 45, page 164, Hadith 7]
حذيم بن شريك الأسدي عن الإمام زين العابدين عليه السلام أنه قال لزينب بنت علي عليها السلام: أنت بحمد الله عالمة غير معلمة فهمة غير مفهمة
Mu’awiyah Ibn Ammar reported from Imam As-Sadiq (a.) the supplication: “The family of Muhammad are my leaders (Imam). I have no leaders (Imam) except them. I let them guide me, I am near to them and i emulate them.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, volume 83, page 295]
ابن أبي عمير عن معاوية بن عمار عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام هذا الدعاء: آل محمد أئمتي ليس لي أئمة غيرهم بهم أئتم وإياهم أتولى وبهم أقتدي
Abu Basir reported that he asked Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “Who are the family of Muhammad?” He said: “His descendants.” Then I said: “Who are the people of his house?” He said: “The authorized leaders (Imam).” Then I said: “Who is his lineage?” He said: “The people of the cloak.” Then I said: “Who is his nation?” He said: “The believers who believed in what he brought from God, who hold on to the two weighty things, which he ordered to hold on to: The scripture of God and his lineage, the people of his house, from whom God kept away the blemish and whom He kept perfectly pure, and the two (weighty things) are the successors for the nation.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 25, Page 216, Hadith 13]
أبو بصير عن الإمام الصادق عليه السلام أنه سأله: من آل محمد؟ قال: ذريته فقلت: من أهل بيته؟ قال: الأئمة الأوصياء، فقلت: من عترته؟ قال: أصحاب العباء فقلت: من أمته؟ قال: المؤمنون الذين صدقوا بما جاء به من عند الله عز وجل المتمسكون بالثقلين الذين أمروا بالتمسك بهما: كتاب الله وعترته أهل بيته الذين أذهب الله عنهم الرجس وطهرهم تطهيرا، وهما الخليفتان على الأمة عليهم السلام
Muhammad Al-Ukbari reported that Zainab Bint Ali (a.) said: “Praise be to God who honored us through His Prophet (s.) and kept us perfectly pure from all blemishes.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Vol. 45, page 117, Hadith 1]
محمد العكبري عن زينب بنت علي عليها السلام قالت: الحمد لله الذي أكرمنا بنبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وآله وطهرنا من الرجس تطهيرا
Junadah Ibn Abi Umayyah reported that Imam Al-Hasan (a.) said: “By God, the messenger of God (s.) made a covenant with us, that the twelve leaders (Imam) from the descendants of Ali (a.) and Fatimah (a.) rule over this matter. There is none of us except that he is poisoned or killed.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 27, Page 217, Hadith 19]
جنادة بن أبي أمية عن الإمام الحسن عليه السلام قال: والله لقد عهد إلينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله أن هذا الامر يملكه اثنا عشر إماما من ولد علي وفاطمة، ما منا إلا مسموم أو مقتول
Zurarah reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “The twelve leaders (Imam) from the family of Muhammad are all illuminated descendants of the Messenger of God (s.) and the descendants of Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.). So the messenger of God (s.) and Ali (a.) are the fathers.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Vol. 36, page 393, Hadith 8]
زرارة بن أعين عن الإمام الباقر عليه السلام قال: الاثنا عشر الامام من آل محمد كلهم محدث ولد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وولد علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام فرسول الله وعلي هما الوالدان عليهما السلام
Sulaim Ibn Qais reported that the Prophet (s.) said to Ali (a.): “You and twelve of your descendants are the rightful leaders.” [At-Tanbih of Al-Mas’udi, page 199, Hadith 1]
علي بن الحسين بن علي عن أبان بن أبي عياش عن سليم بن قيس أن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال لأمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام: أنت واثنا عشر من ولدك أئمة الحق
Hisham Ibn Zaid reported that Anaz Ibn Malik said: “I asked the Prophet (s.): ‘Who are your disciples, O Messenger of God?” Then he said: “The leaders after me. Twelve are from the descendants of Ali and Fatimah. They are my disciples and the supporters of my religion.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 36, Page 271, Hadith 92]
محمد بن علي بن شهر آشوب عن هشام بن زيد عن أنس بن مالك قال: سألت النبي صلى الله عليه وآله من حواريك يا رسول الله فقال الأئمة بعدي اثنا عشر من صلب علي وفاطمة وهم حواريي وأنصار ديني
Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported that Fatimah (a.) said: “Against those from whom God removed the blemish, the people of the house and kept them perfectly pure, it is not permissible to be testified against, because they are free from all wickedness and are kept pure from all shamefulness.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, volume 30, page 306, hadith 152]
أبان بن أبي عياش عن سليم بن قيس عن علي بن أبي طالب عليهما السلام عن فاطمة عليها السلام قالت: إن من أذهب الله عنهم الرجس أهل البيت وطهرهم تطهيرا لا يجوز عليهم شهادة، لأنهم معصومون من كل سوء، مطهرون من كل فاحشة
Muhammad Ibn Ahmad reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “Those who are considered weak on earth, who are mentioned in the Scriptures, (28:5) whom God made leaders, are we the people of the house. God sends their Rightly Guided (Mahdi), whereupon he raises them up and humbles their enemy.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, volume 51, page 63, hadith 65]
علي بن عبد الحميد بإسناده عن محمد بن أحمد الأيادي يرفعه إلى أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام قال: المستضعفون في الأرض المذكورون في الكتاب الذين يجعلهم الله أئمة نحن أهل البيت يبعث الله مهديهم فيعزهم ويذل عدوهم
Hisham Ibn Zaid reported that Anaz Ibn Malik said: “I asked the Messenger of God (s.) about the disciples of Jesus, whereupon he said: “They were among His exquisite and chosen ones, and were twelve unselfish people who were devoted to the support of God and His Messenger. Among them there was no vanity, shortcoming, or doubt. They supported him with perspicacity, effectiveness, seriousness and effort.” I said: “Who then are your disciples, O Messenger of God?” Then he said: “The leaders after me. Twelve are from the descendants of Ali and Fatimah. They are my disciples and the supporters of my religion. May God’s greetings and peace be upon them.” [Al-Bihar of Al-Majlisi, volume 36, page 309, Hadith 149]
علي بن محمد بن علي الخزاز الرازي القمي عن أبي الفضل عن رجاء بن يحيى العبرتائي الكاتب عن محمد بن خلاد الباهلي عن معاذ بن معاذ عن ابن عون عن هشام بن زيد عن أنس بن مالك قال: سألت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله عن حواري عيسى فقال كانوا من صفوته وخيرته وكانوا اثني عشر مجردين مكمشين في نصرة الله ورسوله لا زهو فيهم ولا ضعف ولا شك كانوا ينصرونه على بصيرة ونفاذ وجد وعناء قلت فمن حواريك يا رسول الله فقال الأئمة بعدي اثنا عشر من صلب علي وفاطمة هم حواريي وأنصار ديني عليهم من الله التحية والسلام
