Jabir Ibn Abdillah reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “O people, i am leaving you two weighty things: the greater and the lesser weight. If you hold on to both, you will neither go astray nor bring about innovations. I asked the Almighty and the All-Knowing that they should not separate until they come to me at the pool of Paradise, and He granted it to me. They said: “What is the greater weight and what is the lesser weight?” He said: “The greater weight is the Scripture of God, whose firm grip is in the hand of God on one side and in your hands on the other, and the lesser weight is my lineage and the people of my house.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 23, Page 140]
محمد بن الحسين، عن النضر بن شعيب، عن القلانسى عن رجل عن أبي جعفر، عن جابر بن عبد الله الانصاري قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: يا أيها الناس إني تارك فيكم الثقلين الثقل الاكبر، والثقل الاصغر، إن تمسكتم بهما لا تضلوا، ولا تبدلوا وإني سألت اللطيف الخبير أن لا يتفرقا حتى يردا علي الحوض فأعطيت ذلك، قالوا: وما الثقل الاكبر؟ وما الثقل الاصغر؟ قال: الثقل الاكبر كتاب الله سبب طرفه بيد الله، وسبب طرفه بأيديكم والثقل الاصغر عترتي وأهل بيتي
Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “O Ali, the Qur’an is behind my resting place in leaves and silk and paper, take it and collect them.” [Tafsir-ul-Qumi, Volume 2, Page 451]
وعنه عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله عن علي بن الحكم عن سيف بن عميرة عن أبي بكر الحضرمي عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام عن النبي عليه وآله الصلاة والسلام قال: يا علي القرآن خلف فراشي في الصحف والحرير والقراطيس فخذوه واجمعوه
Hasan As-Saiqal reported that he asked Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “In how many readings was the Qur’an sent down?” He said: “In one reading.” I said: “Where did that difference come from?” He said: “From the narrators. The Qur’an was written on palm leaves and leather hides and people used to come and take it from him.” [Al-Qira’at of As-Sayyari, page 8, hadith 10]
عن محمد بن أحمد عن الحسين بن سيف عن أخيه عن أبيه عن أبي بكر الربيع الأسدي عن الحسن الصيقل قال: قلت لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام: على كم حرف نزل القرآن؟ فقال: على حرف واحد. قلت: من أين جاء هذا الاختلاف؟ قال: من قبل الرواة إن القرآن كان مكنوبا في الجريد والأدم وكان الناس يأتون فيأخذون منه
Yazid Ibn Abdillah reported that Imam Al-Jawad (a.) said: “Recognize those who resemble the monks and the rabbis who hid and falsified the Scriptures. Neither did their trade benefit them, nor were they rightly guided. Recognize after this those who are like them from this nation. They raised the letters of the Scriptures and falsified its barriers.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 8, Page 54, Hadith 16]
عن يزيد بن عبد الله عن الإمام محمد الجواد عليه السلام قال: فأعرف أشباه الأحبار والرهبان الذين ساروا بكتمان الكتاب وتحريفه فما ربحت تجارتهم وما كانوا مهتدين ثم اعرف أشباههم من هذه الامة الذين أقاموا حروف الكتاب وحرفوا حدوده
Ahmad Ibn Ali reported that Imam Al-Hadi (a.) said: “The whole nation agrees, about which there is no dispute, that the Qur’an is true, there is no doubt about it among all their groups and they are right in their agreement about it and are right in the confirmation of what God sent down.” [Al-Ihtijaj of Abu Mansur At-Tabarsi, Volume 2, Page 251]
عن أحمد بن علي عن الإمام علي الهادي عليه السلام قال: اجتمعت الأمة قاطبة لا اختلاف بينهم في ذلك أن القرآن حق لا ريب فيه عند جميع فرقها، فهم في حالة الاجماع عليه مصيبون، وعلى تصديق ما أنزل الله مهتدون
Muhammad Ibn Muslim reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “In none of the people is there anything true nor right nor does any of the people make a valid judgment except that it came from us the people of the house. If things were unclear to them, then the wrong was from them and the right was from Ali (a.).” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1, Page 399, Hadith 1]
علي بن إبراهيم بن هشام، عن محمد بن عيسى، عن يونس، عن ابن مسكان، عن محمد بن مسلم قال: سمعت أبا جعفر عليه السلام يقول: ليس عند أحد من الناس حق ولا صواب ولا أحد من الناس يقضي بقضاء حق إلا ما خرج منا أهل البيت وإذا تشعبت بهم الأمور كان الخطاء منهم والصواب من علي عليه السلام
Abu Hamzah Ath-Thumali reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “No one from this nation collected the Qur’an except for the representatives of Muhammad (s.).” [Tafsir-ul-Qumi, Volume 2, Page 451]
