Does Imam Al-Baqir (a.) affirm that there is a cure in the wing of the fly?

Answer:

Muhammad Al-Baqir (a.) reported, that the Prophet (s.) said: ,,If a fly lands in the vessel of one of you, then dip it in it, because there is a cure in one of its two wings and a harmful substance in the other and so it dips its harmful wing in the drink, while it does not, dip that one, in which there is the cure, so dip it so that it does not harm you. If it were not for the fly, which lands in the food of people without them knowing it, then leprosy would strike them more quickly.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 64 Page 312 Hadith 7]

عن سهل بن أحمد عن صالح بن محمد عن جابر بن يزيد عن محمد الباقر عليه السلام عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: إذا وقع الذباب في إناء أحدكم فليغمسه فيه فان في إحدى جناحيه شفاء وفي الأخرى سما وإنه يغمس جناحه المسموم في الشراب ولا يغمس الذي فيه الشفاء فاغمسوها لئلا يضركم وقال عليه السلام: لولا الذباب الذي يقع في أطعمة الناس من حيث لا يعلمون لأسرع فيهم الجذام
