Jabir reported, that the Prophet (s.) said to Ali (a.):,,Do you not find it pleasing, that you have a position from me like Aaron had from Moses? Except that after me, there is no prophet and if that were so, you would be.” [Al-Amali of At-Tusi, page 598, Hadith 1242]

As-Sadiq (a.) reported that the Prophet (s.) said to Ali (a.): ,,If I were not the seal of the prophets, you would be a partner in prophethood. Although you are not a prophet, you are the authorized representative of a prophet and his heir. Rather, you are the master of the authorized ones and leader of the mindful ones.” [Ghaiat-ul-Maram of Al-Bahrani, volume 2, page 175]

Muhammad ibn Ali reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,Ali is the master of the Arabs.” Then A’ishah said: ,,O Messenger of God, are you not the master of the Arabs?” So he said: ,,I am the master of the children of Adam and Ali is the master of the Arabs.” Then she said: ,,O Messenger of God, what is the master?” He said: ,,The one, to whom obedience is as obligatory as obedience to me is obligatory.” [At-Tawhid of As-Saduq, page 207]

Muhammad ibn Fudail reported that Imam Al-Kazim (a.) said: ,,The leadership of Ali (a.) is written in all the scriptures of the prophets and God will not send a messenger except with the prophecy of Muhammad (s.) and the guardianship of Ali (a.).” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, Volume 1, Page 437, Hadith 6]

Hasan Ibn Yusuf Ibn Mutahhar Al-Hilli writes: ,,One day the Messenger of God (s.) went out of his house, whereupon he discovered a paper in the hand of Umar. Then he said: ๏ดพWhat is this?๏ดฟ So he said: ๏ดพFrom the Torah.๏ดฟ Then he was angry with him and threw it out of his hand and said: ๏ดพIf Moses or Jesus were alive, then they would have no choice but to follow me.๏ดฟ” [Tadhkirat-ul-Fuqaha’, Volume 9, page 390]

Abu Abdi l-Qasim reported Prophet Muhammad (s.): ,,Umar came to the Messenger of God (s.), whereupon he said: ๏ดพWe hear narrations from the Jews that we like. So we decide to write down a few of it.๏ดฟ Then he said: ๏ดพAre you confused like the Jews and Nazarenes were confused? Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported that Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: ,,I am the master of the first and the last and you, O Ali, are the master of the creation after me. Mujalid reported that Ash-Sha’bi said: ,,Umar came to the Prophet (s.) with a paper on which he wrote the Torah in Arabic. So he read it to him, after which anger was seen on his face. Then he said: ๏ดพI seek refuge with God and His Messenger from his anger.๏ดฟ So the Prophet (s.) said: ๏ดพDo not ask the People of the Book about anything, for they do not guide you and have been misguided and perhaps they tell you false things, upon which you believe them, or true things, upon which you accuse them of lying. If Moses (a.) were among you, he would have no choice but to follow me.๏ดฟ” Hasan ibn Sulaiman said: ,,Accordingly, if Moses (a.) had lived at the time of Muhammad (s.), he would have had no choice but to follow him and he would belong to his nation and would have to obey his guardian, the Commander of the Faithful (a.), as well as the guardians (a.) after him.” [Bihar-ul-Anwar of Al-Majlisi, Volume 26, page 315 – 316, Hadith 78]

Abdullah Ibn Muskan reported that Faid Ibn Abi Shaibah said: ,,I heard Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) speaking and he read this verse: ๏ดพWhen God made the covenant with the Prophets.๏ดฟ (3:81) He said: ๏ดพTo believe in the Messenger of God (s.) and to help Ali, the Commander of the Faithful (a.).๏ดฟ I said: ๏ดพTo help the Commander of the Faithful (a.)?๏ดฟ He said: ๏ดพYes, by God, starting from Adam. For God did not send a prophet nor a messenger except that He let them all return to this world until they fight in the presence of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, the Commander of the Believers (a.).๏ดฟ” [Al-Mukhtasar of Al-Hilli, page 128, hadith 32]

Muhammad ibn Fudail reported that Imam Al-Kazim (a.) said: ,,The leadership of Ali (a.) is written in all the scriptures of the prophets and God will not send a prophet except with the prophecy of Muhammad (s.) and the leadership of his guardian Ali (a.).” [Basa’ir-ud-Darajat of As-Saffar, page 92, Hadith 1]
